These little Easter treats are really easy to make, so it is a great recipe to make with your children.

175g/6oz milk or plain chocolate chips
50g/2oz butter
2tbsp Lyle’s Golden Syrup
1 chocolate flake, crumbled

Method
1 Line two baking sheets with foil.
2 Crush the shredded wheat into a bowl with your fingers.

3 Add the coconut and stir.
4 Place the chocolate chips, butter and Golden Syrup in a heatproof bowl.
5 Place the bowl over a saucepan of barely simmering water, making sure that the bowl does not touch the water.
6 Allow the mixture to melt over a very gentle heat.
7 Add the melted chocolate mixture into the shredded wheat and coconut mixture.
8 Stir until the mixture is evenly mixed.
9 Spoon six mounds on to each baking sheet.

10 Shape the mounds into rounds.
11 Dip a spoon in hot water.
12 Make a well in the centre of each mound.
